Ken Hughes's 1968 musical, adapted by Roald Dahl from Ian Fleming's children's book. The inventor Caractacus Potts restores a magical car that can float and fly, and it carries his family from the English coast across the sea to the fairy-tale kingdom of Vulgaria, where children have been banned and a sinister Child Catcher stalks the streets.
