I love these animated maps that show journeys from fiction in the real world. Reminds me a lot of Mapalong.
Sometimes I come across an idea and I think "I wish I had thought of it first!" That's exactly the case with Reading Maps.
Matt shared this and if you love reading, you'll definitely like this project that maps the journey of characters or narratives in popular books. I lost some time exploring this.

Journeys from books & films (Moby-Dick, Murder on the Orient Express, The Hunt for Red October, The Muppet Movie, etc.) plotted on a map.
Reading Maps plots fictional journeys on the map... all that geography stays locked in your head. Once you close the cover it goes with it.
Reading Maps... it's an interactive atlas of maps and travel routes from books and films.
Check out this wonderful map charting the hypothetical route Odysseus took from Troy back to his home in Ithaca on ReadingMaps.com. Then realize it has a whole bunch of other literary journeys. Then take a break as your stomach reminds you it's been some hours going down rabbit holes of various literary works, journeys, and whatnot.
As someone who runs a wine book club, this feels like such a thoughtful resource. I can't wait to explore it, and share it with fellow readers.
