Journeys from fiction drawn on the real world

Sam Peckinpah · 1978 · road

Sam Peckinpah's 1978 film, from the CB-radio song. After a brawl with a corrupt sheriff at an Arizona truck stop, the trucker Martin 'Rubber Duck' Penwald hits the highway - and a growing convoy of big rigs falls in behind him, turning a run from the law into a folk-hero crusade. Chased across the desert Southwest toward the Mexican border, the mile-long convoy becomes a rolling act of defiance.
