   When his beloved bicycle is stolen, the childlike Pee-wee Herman is told by a fortune-teller that it is hidden in the basement of the Alamo, and sets off to find it.

   Hitchhiking east, he meets the ghostly trucker Large Marge and the kind waitress Simone among the giant roadside dinosaurs.

   He finally reaches San Antonio and the Alamo, only to learn the terrible truth: the Alamo has no basement.
