The 1941 sequel sends the duo to Africa, where, on the run after their carnival sideshow burns down, they are conned by two women into bankrolling a safari deep into the jungle, ostensibly to find a lost brother, in fact to chase a millionaire. Cannibals, a gorilla, and the usual songs and double-crosses ensue.
