Rebecca Solnit's trilogy of experimental city atlases, made with collaborators over six years: Infinite City (San Francisco, 2010), Unfathomable City (New Orleans, 2013), and Nonstop Metropolis (New York, 2016). Each reimagines a single city through dozens of unconventional maps, of butterflies and Beats, of water and music and memory, arguing that no place is ever truly mapped, only endlessly re-seen. Not a journey but a trilogy, plotted here across its three cities.
