The sequel that moved the premise onto a cruise ship, which is not a fast vehicle. Shot around Sint Maarten, it ends with a liner driven at full speed into Philipsburg harbour and through the waterfront - a sequence done practically, at scale, and by some distance the best thing in it.

   Annie Porter is taking her driving test, badly, and being pursued by her boyfriend Alex on a motorcycle - the film's obligation to the first one discharged in the opening ten minutes before it gets on a boat.

   Aboard the Seabourn Legend, and the premise everybody laughed at: a runaway cruise ship, which cannot go fast, in a film called Speed - hijacked by a computer engineer with copper poisoning and a grievance.

   The ship ploughs into Philipsburg harbour at full speed and through the town, shot on location with a full-size mock-up - the sequence that cost most of the budget and is the only reason anyone remembers the film.
