Journeys from fiction drawn on the real world

Rob Reiner · 1986 · overland

Rob Reiner's 1986 film, from Stephen King's novella. In the summer of 1959, four boys from the small town of Castle Rock, Oregon, set out along the railroad tracks on a two-day trek to find the body of a missing boy. Their journey through the woods - dodging a train on a trestle, a leech-filled swamp, and a bullying older gang - becomes a passage out of childhood none of them will forget.
