Journeys from fiction drawn on the real world

Kristin Hannah · 2018 · survival

In 1974 a volatile Vietnam veteran moves his family from Seattle to a remote Alaskan homestead he has inherited, chasing peace off the grid. For his teenage daughter Leni, the wild beauty of the Kenai Peninsula becomes both a refuge and a trap as the long winter dark draws out her father's violence.
