Corrie ten Boom · 1971 · survival
Corrie ten Boom's 1971 memoir. In occupied Haarlem, the ten Boom family hide Jews behind a false wall in their watch shop until they are betrayed and arrested. Corrie is taken through the Dutch prison at Scheveningen and the Vught camp to Ravensbruck in Germany, where faith and her sister Betsie sustain her - and from which, through a clerical error, she alone walks free.
