Michael Mann · 1992 · overland
Michael Mann's 1992 film, from Cooper's novel. In 1757, during the French and Indian War, the frontiersman Hawkeye and his Mohican family escort two British officer's daughters through the wilderness of upstate New York. Ambush, the siege and massacre at Fort William Henry, and a desperate flight through the mountains bind Hawkeye and Cora together as the last of the Mohicans face the end of their world.
