Jack London's 1906 companion to The Call of the Wild, telling the mirror-image story. White Fang is born in the Yukon wilderness, three-quarters wolf, and grows up wild and savage. Passing from a Native camp to a brutal dog-fighting owner and finally to a kind master, he is slowly tamed, and carried south to a gentler life in the sunlit valleys of California.
